Lina Suh grew up between a Seoul suburb, the American Midwest, and New York, with a recent decade in Los Angeles. She has a BFA from NYU's Tisch School of the Arts in Dramatic Writing and an MFA from the USC's School of Cinematic Arts in Film Production. Suh produced award-winning fiction shorts in New York and Los Angeles, and directed a short humanitarian documentary in Cambodia for a World Bank guide distributed to NGOs in developing countries. She taught screenwriting for ESRA (Ecole Supérieure de Réalisation Audiovisuelle) a French film school's satellite program in NYC, and is currently a screenwriting professor at Konkuk University's School of Art and Design. She has directed music videos for Los Angeles artists, and short films that were featured on Short of the Week, Nowness, and sold a TV series idea to HBO Max based on one of her short films. Suh was the story editor on DR. BRAIN, Apple TV+'s first Korean language series. Her first feature film MEETING YOU, MEETING ME as a writer/director premiered at film festivals last year, receiving nominations for Best Narrative Feature at multiple festivals and a Best Director nomination. Suh is preparing to direct her second feature film in Korea.
